📢 CALL TO ACTION: Drag is NOT a crime, and LGBTQ+ people are NOT unsafe around youth. The real dangers are ignorance and hate. The best way to combat hate is with love.

Rochester LGBTQ+ Together is calling on members of our local LGBTQIA2S+ community and allies to show up and stand against hate. We’re pleased to join Free Hugs Rochester, First Unitarian Church of Rochester and M.K. Gandhi Institute for Nonviolence as a community partner for their Nonviolent Protest Training on Saturday, April 15 at 10:30am at First Unitarian Church (220 S. Winton Rd. Rochester, NY).

Afterward, we encourage all to join us, Free Hugs, First Unitarian Church and Asbury First United Methodist Church at Book Culture (28 S. Main St. Pittsford, NY) to form a Love Wall between Pittsford CommUNITY’s Drag Storytime event and protestors, 1:00-3:00pm. Bring big hearts cut out of posterboard and/or colorful umbrellas.

Love wins when the LGBTQIA2S+ community and allies stand together against hate!
